O.K. :oops: It was the later census entry as 'Owen' that led me astray. Need-less-to-say, I've never come across this forename before, but apparently he is mentioned in the Old Testament.

noticed on ancestry trees they have Kirkhams as mother.

would need that birth certif may save up my pennies for the 1838 one..

thanks all for info have updated some of this and made some connections that were on Bcc already
