Good morning Pop Pickers!

BBC Radio 1 was broadcast for the very first time today in 1967! Does anyone know the first song they played?

I remember that morning so well. I listened to Tony B on my little black transistor radio, before I went to school, while my dad was listening to radio 3 downstairs. Life was never the same again. He was not amused!
