This Joseph Brettell
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =322360645
Is father of Alice Sebrina Violet Brettell who married Joseph Hackett
see Arthur Hackett born 1916 Thread
I think he is this Joseph Brettell
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =395950434
son of William Brettell and Phoebe
Reason :- Joseph Brettell and Mary Ann Maria lived at 15 King Street in 1901 and 1911
and William and Phoebe lived at 15 King Street in 1881
Only problem is that in 1881 Census there are two Joseph Brettells of roughly same age living next door at 16 King Street
1881 Census 16, King Street Rowley Regis Dudley Staffs.
Joseph Berttell Head 25 Pudler at Iron Works born Sedgley Worcs.
Sarah Ann Berttell wife 25 born Dudley Worcs.
Thomas Berttell son 2
John Henry Berttell son 0
Joseph Berttell lodger 24 Pudler at Iron Works
Mary Ann Berttell wife 23 born Smallbrook Staffs.
Rest born Rowley Regis
and either Joseph Could be son of William Brettell

Re: Brettell Connection
Brilliant RF as that ties up with Census records I have found and It would appear that the other Joseph Brettell who married Sarah Ann is brother of Mary Ann Maria Brettell who married Joseph Brettell

" Complete" Re: Brettell Connection
Eliza Unknown married Thomas Brettell and Unknown Unknown and James Robinsonn
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =833599083
Jo has a note noting not found marriage to Thomas Brettell and has not confirmed surname as Johnson
but their is a marriage to James Robinson on Freebmd ( not on WMBMD) of an Eliza Johnson
so it is possible she was unmarried when she had Johnson children
and probably did not marry Thomas Brettell who she had other children by
Might be able to identify father of Johnson children if we can find Benjamin & John Johnsons on later Census records and marriages
