Interesting places to visit

Post by snoopysue »

Didn't we have this as a topic once?

On a lightning visit to the aged p's, had half a day to spare and went to the Birmingham Back to Back's, really worth a visit, especially if like me you've got ancestors who lived in places like that!
Not BC, but close enough, although I had expected something more of a slum. The tailors shop was really interesting - could do with a place like that near by.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

You have to book, as there's not much room. But you get a tour guide to take you round.
I had to laugh, cos with a surname like mine (Fellows), it obviously wasn't a local that booked us, as they spelt it "Phellows"

If the information I received is correct, the talk at The Blackheath History Society, on Tuesday morning, is about the Back to Backs. Starts an 10.30 am. £2.00 admission and that includes a cupp aand a biscuit, if you get there with enough time to spare, before the start. Venue, The Methodist Church, at the top of the High Street.
Just because you're Paranoid, it doesn't mean to say they're not out to get you.
