My Grandfather was born in Nottingham in February 1903 I only have a registration document not a birth certificate. My Great Grandfathers name was George and I assume he was from around the Nottingham, Mansfield area. The name Gadsby appears to be linked to mining originally down in Glocs. I originate from Birmingham and now live in South Wales.
I'm guessing that my Great Grandparents were born around 1875 based on my Grandfathers birth date. My Grandfather was one of about 8/9 children.
I have been in contact with Heanor History Org as I believe my Great Grandparents lived in the area in the 1930-1940's.
My Grandfathers name was Frank Harold and he was married to Audrey Muriel Rhodes, they were married 31st October 1925 in Nottingham my Grandmothers was born Everton, Liverpool.

Thank you for the very prompt response. My gut feel is that its George Gadsby joiner as my Grandfather was also a joiner and i have there hand made tools made in Oak with there names etched. The thing that's making me question if it is or not is that, the Construction company that my Great Grandfather worked for was based in Lenton and he was a co-Director.
Can you tell me what the reference numbers are where Alpha/Numeric are used

I assume this is taken from 1911 Census? The ages follow the name? where it says (married 10 years) after Florence Gadsby is this saying they were married around the age of 25/26.
My understanding was that there were 6 boys and 3 girls so I would assume the others were born after the census.
Sorry if I sound slow but just trying to get an understanding of how information is listed and that I'm interpreting it correctly.
Thanks for your help once again
