Re: Levi WELLINGS, Edward JOHNSON
I reckon so too and am connecting them
look at the names that Joseph calls his kids John and Sarah
just wonder why they put RR if bapt H/owen
would have been real happy if we had got Joseph and Silvia down as born Halesowen

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Looks like Joseph 1842 is the son of Rueben born 1822, son of a John and Mary? Probably the same family. Linell

joseph edge b 1799 names his kid Reuben and he is b 1842
then we have that Joseph Edge m to sarah hingley
so is his father a Reuben...can we find em on the census

Re: Levi WELLINGS, Edward JOHNSON
Think we now need to find a link between Joseph b 1799 who calls his son Reuben b 1842
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =678993674
and then going back on this line goes to ....a John Edge b 1765
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =548373643
and then connect em to this Reuben lot...
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections
which goes back on that line to a Joseph Edge born 1754.....
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =695943249
are John Edge b 1765 and Joseph Edge b 1754 brothers

Re: Levi WELLINGS, Edward JOHNSON
Can't get anywhere with John born 1765 NL, but then a lot of John's were called John even if that wasn't the name they were baptised with! I found Rueben 1822/Joseph and Mary 1785/Joseph and Mary 1749/Thomas and Elizabeth, well something along those lines, there are a lot of Edges in Salop, one third of the BC population was from Salop, so maybe
Linell.

HI Alice
if you go to the top right hand corner of the board rite at the top there is a little print symbol
click on that and it gives you the print view the print it off as normal.
no worries.
We need to know what other information you need Alice to help you.
As this will be moved to the archived section shortly
But of course you can access it from there and print off from there too!

Re: Levi WELLINGS, Edward JOHNSON
To answer "Mumbles" yes Sarah Wellings married John Hipkiss brother of Elizabeth Hipkiss who married Joseph Brookes.
Emma Wellings married Thomas Haynes 20 11 1881 St James's Church, Dudley
Joseph Wellings married Eva Rachel Yates 1899 Fulham, Middlesex
Samuel Wellings married Sarah Elizabeth Taylor 1863 Dudley
Jane Wellings married James Marsh 1866 Stl Edmunds,, Dudley
Thomas Wellings married Rachel Beardsmore 1870 Dudley
One mystery maybe someone can figure out - George Green (Stepson) of George Wellings / he was either Sarah's son before marrying George Wellings or maybe he was her brother, the father had died or kicked him out of the house and George and his sister Sarah took him in as their own.
Its not really important but it is a mystery, since on their marriage cert. dated 28 April 1845, Sarah was listed as "Spinster" of full age. By the way they were married at Netherton, Parish of Dudley. William Wellings (Labourer) and Joseph Green (Nail Factor) were listed as fathers. The witnesses were John Lewis and Mary Smith.
