Just visited Cornwall

Post by Antie Em »

Just had a lovely holiday in Cornwall, and actually came back with a tan, only rained for a day and a half - we must have picked the best week of the year

Stayed in a lodge at a smashing holiday park in St Minver, not far from Tintagel. Did all the usual "touristy" things, climbed up to King Arthur's castle in Tintagel, visited Port Isaac, beautiful little fishing village - well worth a visit, had a look around lovely Boscastle, still drying out after the flood and had fish and chips at Rick's place in Padstow.

Honestly, we do really have such a beautiful country, just a shame about the weather.

Glad you managed to pick some good weather Auntie Em, good days are few and far between in the UK this Summer.

We really did feel very lucky, we had two or three very sunny days, had a bit of rain, but we still went out walking on Bodmin Moor (looking for the witches). We were thinking of visiting the rellies in Cyprus, but the summer holidays are too hot there for the kids, so we went to Cornwall instead, and the rellies arrived here on Saturday - they've come over for a cool down. They are travelling up to the Lakes today for a couple of days, hope it stops raining for them.
