Hi, I'm Marcelle Perks from Germany and I'm researching my family history from the Stourbridge/Lye area where most of my family were chainmakers or nailers.
I've got back to Sarah and George Chapman born 1811 of Waste Bank, Old Swinford and Charles Shilvock (1781) and Elizabeth Shilvock (1786) farm labourers from Clent. William Perks (1832) was a brick layer from Worcester married to Sarah Perks (1834) of Worcester Warndon. This is as far back as I have been able to get using findmypast.co.uk on my father's side. As my mother's family came from Ireland I've had no luck there yet. I hope to find other people researching the same family line or really just to get tips. I'm just about getting round to ordering certificates, but find that in many cases I can't find these online in order to purchase!

Hi Marcey, Welcome to the forum
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
