It is possibly French in origin, but the name has been around locally for a long time: I have a 'Jacqes' ancestor born in Dudley in 1809 - can find her nowhere but the census and her marriage despite looking for other spellings eg Jakes/ Jacks.

found out that Marys dad was called James from Coleorton, Leicester shire
and mother was Ann
how would i access the info from coleorton

need to maybe get some certifs or go to the archives in county
but you need to know church etc to look up at archives.

maybe take it slowly and verify that Wm Green marriage just to check that her father is James etc

no not necessarily if this is yours then you need to look for a marriage on the family search site or the bmsgh site
see if there is one

if you need help using sites we have a section called beginners so you could ask in there
and someone will guide you thru

the marriage will be good as it will have wits on if before 1837 which may help
after 1837 and civil regis it will have father

then you can find a bapt on IGI
