ARC TBC................Duncan Edwards

We watched the movie "United" at the weekend ... about the Busby Babes and the Munich air crash.
Very sad movie :(
I am wondering whether Duncan Edwards is on BCC?

Don't think we can - I think his mom is still alive. He's related to my brother in law - I'll ask him.

Having done a bit of searching on the internet I found this website ...

http://duncan-edwards.co.uk/

There is quite detailed info.on his grave here...

http://duncan-edwards.co.uk/duncan-edwards-grave/

So I think these must be his parents on BCC ..

Yes Expat - those are his parents. I even put them on - I'll add that marriage to the Dudley List

Back in the 1970s - when I was still in short trousers, I will hasten to add! - whenever Manchester United played one of the local teams the team coach used to stop off at the cemetery and everyone would get off the coach and put flowers on his grave: I was never keen on football but one of my friends at the time assured me that I have seen Bobby Charlton!

(I used to live near the bottom of Wellington Road - I now live the other side of the cemetery so they won't have to carry me far!!)
