A common pose when they are washing themselves.

My black cat Lucky lived till he was 23!!

I had another called Sooty.

I love dogs and cats but to be honest, cats are a teeny bit useless when you think about it.

I did have one called Kit who would go for walks with me but its just no the same as a faithfull dog.

Mom Cat (her real name is Mandy...but for the last 16 years we have called her Mum Cat as we have two of her kittens, who are now 16 years old, as well) is waiting for me to go to bed so she can claim half my pillow.

So they are useless, but cute!

I adore cats. Dogs, not so much. Dogs are needy. Cats are independent. Then again cats have no loyalty.

It's a stance many animals take if they have worms. If the animal (and I tend to think of cats as spawn of the devil rather than animals) does much of it without concommitant washing a trip to the vet is suggested.

A bit late to take him to the vets, he died last year, and he never had worms.

What you got against cats?
I'd love one, but I'm allergic, so we'll have to make do with a dog instead!!
