Turtons of West Bromwich

Post by mallosa »

eturton wrote:Hi, I'm Elaine and new to this site. I now live in Australia and am researching my Turton family from West Bromwich. Only being able to do research online, I am coming across many brick walls. If anyone has any connections to James Turton B:1812 and Rosehannah Whitehouse (Roschannah, Rosanna and Hannah as she is known) I would love to get in touch. Cheers.

eturton has contacted me regarding Wilfred Turton who is here on BCC - http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ton-Family

Started this thread so she can persue her research further :-)

Loads more info about Wilfred here in the Bugle - http://www.blackcountrybugle.co.uk/Home ... red+Turton

Thanks for all that, I have all that info.
Jesse died in 1901. I can't find Beatrice or Emily in 1911 census, but know for sure that Beatrice married Edward Weldon and Emily married either John C Burford or John C Hawkins.
I think there may have been a John born 1889 that died, so I still need one more child that died, and 3 more that lived. I have All of the census info that is available on this family.
Also, James and Eliza's marriage date is 1887 but their first born Alice was born in 1884 - big question mark there.
Any more help would be greatly appreciated as I am doing all this online from Australia.
All the articles on Wilfred have been a goldmine to me. His father Arthur, is my great grandmother(Eliza's) brother. So to get all this biography has been brilliant. Thanks Again, Elaine
