European Championship

Post by Rob »

The Dutch lost last night to Denmark. All the streets were adorned(adorned?) with orange streamers and dutch flags and they(i nearly put we!! ) lost!! Still they lost the first match back in 1988 and later won the championship so who knows. They hit the post and really should have won comfortably.Anyway they play Germany next and then Portugal.Did anyone notice Ronaldo changed his hairstyle at halftime!! And notice how when he takes a shot at goal or he's involved in a dribble he looks at the big tv screen camera to check his appearance!!! What a poser.Because of him i hope Portugal go swiftly home.
Russia have impressed me the most up till now but it's early days.
Today we have Spain versus Italy and Ireland versus Kroatie.Spain in my opinion are over the hill and Italy have a squad of players where only the village idiot Balotelli is known to me.I cant see the winnar coming from this group.
England? I'm not saying anything except i have the same feeling i had in 1966.
My mate Winston saw them last week at Wembley and he says they haven't a chance. So thats a good sign cos what does a Bluenose know?

Well i reckon he could play for Ireland now!!  (sorry shouldn't laugh at your own jokes)
Anyway we're still in with a chance for the quarter finals. One point is what we need against Ukraine.
Woy got his tactics spot on didn't he.Playing Andy Carroll and sending Theo Walcott on were brilliant descions and he has Wayne Wooney available for the next match!! How good is that?
Did you see Zlatan Ibramivitch swearing at Joe Hart? And later he even helped himself to Joe's water!! He is so arrogant,he walks around like ten men but imagine him playing for England!
Holland need to win 2-0 from Portugal and Germany need to beat Denmark and then Holland will go through.
I know you'll all be keeping your fingers crossed for them.

I can safely say the Danes are with Pete :-)
And I agree, they'll be hell to live with if Germany wins!

I haven't a clue of the possibles as not been watching it at all but it will be interesting if England and Germany are still in it when I go over to my Daughter's at the weekend. I'm still there for the Final, it will be party time if Germany are still in, so I'm happy if they go through.

Thank goodness we have blind referees and assistants referees.

If that was not a goal then I am a Princess.

Why they don't introduce goal cameras and a third referee is beyond comprehension.

Poor Ukraine! Lucky England!

No offside flags shown. It was a goal. Roles reversed and there would be riots in the streets!
