Well I've just made the second batch today to finish off my leeks- I did potato mash with cheese and partly boiled leeks (10 minuites) over bacon and covered in more cheese and tomatoe.
I won't give my verdict on yesterdays until more people have tried
Will probaby cook for 30 mintes at 180 centigrade

Was it Mothers Day!! :o
It's not Mothers Day here till over two weeks!!
Why cant they make it universal? :?
Oh i cooked the cheese potato bacon pie tonight!! For 4 people.Well 3 grown ups and my granddaughter.
It was brilliant even if i say so myself!!
There's no end to this fella's talents!!
They want it again next week.
Shame it wasn't the paella.Shame some people are allergic to it!!
Just cos they probably drank too much sangria with it and were ill and blamed the food instead of the drink!!
They shall be nameless but they have connections to a pub down Churchbridge Oldbury and have a bit of Irish in them!!

Well mine was ok, but not being a boiled potato fan and not even liking potato in cornish pasties, there were too many potato lumps for my taste. I prefer the potato mashed with other ingredients rather than separate lumps. I wasn't sure what the butter greasing and cream was all about-spare calories for no effect . I really wish i could work out what Mum used to do to make her cheese and potato pies. They used to be sort of solid with a crust on top.Sorry Di, perhaps I made it a bit wrong :(

I know what you mean Carol

All I do for a cheese and Potato Pie is:
Mash the potato with plenty of 'I can't believe it's not butter' and grated cheese.
Top with more grated cheese and finish with a couple of thin slices of tomato - put under grill until brown & crisp

I must admit, it's a lot quicker and just as tasty.
