Hello from very impressed first time forum user
Hi, I'm Katharine, I live near Rugby and have been enjoying researching my tree and those of friends for about 20 years. I am mainly limited to what I can find on the internet as I don't live near my areas of research, although I have been over to Dudley a couple of times to search the records.
My husband is from Lower Gornal, so I have been researching LEES, DAVIES, HALE, HOLLAND, HYDE, SILCOX, PRICE, FLAVELL, BEARDSMORE etc.
My family is mainly from Lancashire, with a touch of Wolverhampton COLLINGS, NORTHWOOD, O'NEILL, WHITTON.
Posted my first post last night and have already had people beavering away on my behalf - fantastic.

Hi, I'm still trying to work out how this all works! How do you copy the bit you're replying to?!
Is this BBC Tree something I can add to? Is it meant to be one massive tree for the Black Country, or do people have their own section of it?

Hello again
When you want to reply to a post and quote what the person has said - just press the "quote" button in the top right hand corner.
The BCC tree is a massive Black Country Tree on Tribal Pages. You are able to look at it, you don't need a password, unfortunately, you're not able to add to it. Because everything that is added to the tree has to be verified, it is too time consuming for everyone to be allowed to add.
If you find any of your relatives on the tree, you can post certain information here, as long as you quote a source and if time allows, someone will add it.
Welcome aboard.
Maggie

Hi the BCC tree aka Black Country Connections is a tree with the idea to see how we all connected
read a bit more here
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=2402&start=15
I would love to let more people add but it is just too time consuming with the procedure for bringing people on board
it isn't just a case of here you go add what you like.
But what we seem to be doing is adding where we can to the tree as folk post.
The forum is good to get to know people and bounce ideas and queries offa each other.
You seem to be fitting in great and it is good to have you with us
