Private messages queary.

I sent a private message to a forum member because they were looking for a surname that was the same my mother's.

They haven't replied which is their choice but how do I know my message has gone out over the ether and they have decided not to answer? Cheers, Tony.

It actually stays in your outbox until they decide to open it -- I was very confused by that when I started too -- kept trying to send it again !!

So, if it is still in the outbox it has 'gone' but the recipients haven't opened it yet. Is that about it? Cheers, Tony.

Yes that's correct, it has gone but not been picked up by the person you sent it to.
