Samuel Henry Evers soldier in Kandahar and Kabul

Black Country soldier in Afghanistan for 12 years !! . Not in 2000 to 2012 but in 1874 to 1887
This is Henry Evers who Annie and NL were following as a Maria Billingham and Father Benjamin Thread.
He married Ellen Sophia Billingham in c. 1872 and enlisted in Royal Artillery in 1874 and served 12 years in Colours in India and Afghanistan ( where he caught various STD's and Gunshot Wounds and Dysentry and Tropical Diseases) and then returned to Ellen Sophia 14 years later !! (Chelsea Pensioner)
