Samuel was NOT a widower in 1851 - his wife is on the census in Cannock (where there daughter Elizabeth was born) with the rest of their children! So I think Samuel may just have been visiting his father on the day of the census?

The children I have for Samuel and Mary:
Sarah b1840
Joseph b 1842
Margaret Jane b1844
Mary b1845
John b1846
Elizabeth b1850 d1882
George b1852
Gabriel b1855
Job b1857 d1918

They were all born in Dudley, except Elizabeth who was born in Cannock - she was also bapt there 25 Aug 1850.

Job b1857 I think married twice (he appears in the census with both wives - and there doesnt seem to be another Job Dunn in the area of the same age):
Firstly in 1877 All Saints, Sedgley, to Rachel Cottrill
Then 1900 St Edmund, Dudley, to Mary Matilda Smith ( she appears as Matilda in 1901 and 1911 census). I haven't checked these marriages yet.

Apart from Elizabeth I have not found marriages for any of the other children, apart from John - he appears in the census with wife Mary (b1851) from 1881-1901. This is definitely him as his parents Samuel and Mary are with them (down asGfather and Gmother! (sic)! in 1881. John was unmarried in 1871 and I cant see an obvious marriage.
In 1911 Mary was a widow, in Flood St, Dudley, where the family appeared in previous censuses (John was a Poultry Dealer). Sorry, can't post census details at the moment. The 1911 census gives Marys birthplace as Brierley Hill (with Bank St crossed through) - all earlier censuses say Dudley.
