There are a family of Oakwells in 1881 1t 29, Ross, Rowley Regis living with John and Elizabeth Brooks and listed as their children

William Oakwell, 15, Stone Cutter
Edward Oakwell, 15, Stone Quarry Labourer
Nancy Oakwell, 12
Fanny Oakwell, 10
John Oakwell, 8

There is a marriage for John Brooks and Elizabeth Oakwell at St Giles, Rowley - 1870/162

Can't find then in 1871

Did she sign maggie or X

it would be interesting to see how she signed her name if she did
we will keep her as Oakwell until we find her regis birth

if she signs as Hopewell we can change it
