William (c1915) Thomas Hugh (c1918) Aitken Glasgow ARC TBC

Post by waterloo »

Hello All

I am struggling to find more about what happened to my fathers step brothers William and Thomas Aitken from Glasgow.

My Grandfather Andrew Sloan married a widow Catherine Spittal McClaren Wilden Aitken in 1921. She was previously married to Thomas Hugh Aitken ( 1894- 1918). He dies as a result of a mining accident in Balltyre in 1918. They had William born around 1915 and Thomas Hugh I believe arrived shortly after his death in 1918.
My father knew both his step brothers as a child and believes William married someone called McDonald.

I would love to find out more about the boys especially who they lived with after Catherine died in 1930 and what happened to them since but can find nothing .... I know this is something that has worried my dad for many years and now he is in his 80s I would love to tell him more :!:

Many Thanks for any help

Lookslike the one in QUeensland is not a match so Sommerset is your best bet.
