I am completely at a " Brick Wall " with my ancestor Thomas Nicholas Dodman b. 1832, Snettisham, Norfolk, Eng. His parents were Nicholas Dodman B. 1794, Snettisham Norfolk, & Mary
Pilgrim b. 1796 ( I am not sure if this date is right ). Nicholas & Mary did get married in Snettisham, Norfolk, on the 30 Nov 1815, Parish Fring.

In an 1881 census I have found Thomas Nicholas married to an Isabella ? Thomas is listed as a shepherd, age 49, Little Fransham, on the Lings End Farm.

I am asking for confirmation that this Thomas Nicholas Dodman is a son &, any information of his family. Such as any children & Isabella's last name.

Eh Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You, so very much for all the information from my post. Thomas Dodman as the grooms father that you found is likely an uncle. For Thomas Nicholas's own father
Nicholas Dodman died in 1832, Snettisham, Parish Fring. The same year this Thomas Nicholas we are talking about was born. So Thomas Dodman listed was married to Mary Laws, this would be Nicholas's youngest brother, as listed for the grooms father. As for the rest of the siblings for Thomas Nicholas, you are also right, for the most part. Ann Dodman was born in 1819 Snettisham, though Jimmy, & she marries an Isaac Watson, immigrates to Northern Cape South Africa &, dies there in 1863. Avis Dodman whom you do not have listed was born 06 Jan 1828, not Ann, this is a mistake, commonly made.

Thomas Dodman 10 Dec 1820, father Thomas Dodman, mother Mary Laws. As I have already stated would be an uncle , aunt & cousin. To the other Dodman's talked about.

the 30 Nov 1815, parish Fring. Their children were David b. 1818 -d. ? Ontario Canada, Ann b. 1819 - d. 1863, Northern Cape, South, Africa, than William b. 1821 - d. ? Ontario Canada, than
John b. 1825 - d. 1907, Thamesville, Ontario, Canada ( near to where I live ), than Avis b. 06 Jan 1828 - d. Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, next is Elizabeth b. 1830 - d. 1848, Oxford County,
Ontario, Canada, lastly comes Thomas Nicholas b. 1832, the same year his father Nicholas dies. When doing a search on the Utah Mormon site, searching for Thomas Nicholas b. 1832 listing
parents as Nicholas Dodman & Mary Pilgrim, I get an 1881 census listing Thomas Nicholas as a shepherd, married to an Isabella ?

Jimmy this information I am receiving is it for Thomas Dodman b. 1820, father Thomas, mother would be Mary Laws? My problem is, my Thomas Nicholas b. 1832, would only be 9 yrs. old in 1841, rather young I would say to be getting married. Plus Thomas Dodman b. 1820 does not match birth age of 79 in 1901, we could be talking about another son Thomas to the same Family.

Eh Jimmy; Nicholas Dodman was born in 1794 & died in 1832 making him 38 yrs. old. Thomas Nicholas was b. 1832 and in 1881 the person I found on the Salt lake mormon site matches the age
of 49. Jimmy I do not know if this is his right name I added Thomas to Nicholas listing Nicholas Dodman & Mary Pilgrim as parents & this is how I found this person.

Jimmy in the family of Thomas Dodman b. 1793 - d. 1868 married to Mary Laws b. 1793 - d. 1858, I do not have a match of their son Thomas b. 1820.
