ARCHIVE Susanna Meese & Thomas Shakespeare

Post by sp1 »

Susanna & Thomas on BCC here:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ese-Family

The baptism for Susanna d of Thomas Meese & Mary (nee Johnson) does exist! ( see notes) it is 7 March 1798 at Brierley Hill (IGI - extracted).

I can't get at my notes for the Shakespeares at the moment (filing cabinet buried following house rewire!) - does anyone have the witnesses for the marriage of Thomas & Susanna?

Have just had a quick check on the IGI (submitted entries) and it looks as though both Susannas mentioned survived to get married:
One 11 Nov 1821 to William Hill
One 28 Jan 1821 to Thomas Shakespeare
Both marriages at St Thomas, Dudley

Any ideas on witnesses or census?

I'll add them to the list that I need to do! Was hoping to do some last week but was overtaken by work - could you leave this posted for a day or two in case anyone can add anything then archive?

Can anyone find either of the Susannas or their husbands in the census - have looked without success - perhaps they had died?
