Elizabeth is one of my brickwalls but have posted here as suggestions from someone with a knowledge of local surnames might help. She married Henry Smallman in 1738 at Oldswinford. Have found her burial in 1790 which gives her age and therefore approximate birthdate.
Now, the problem is, I can find no other 'Hadbatch's' anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas of what this surname might be? Dropping the h doesn't help! My copy of the Oldswinford register is packed away at the moment so can't check for similar sounding surnames. Any ideas.......?

Should have added: there is a baptism at Bromsgrove (and I know from experience that others from Bromsgrove ended up in Oldswinford and vice versa) 30 May 1718 Elizabeth d of Henery & Havis Harbridg.
This is an extracted entry from the IGI so need to look at this as it seems promising.

Thanks Linell - Think I must have a serious look at Bromsgrove, and also see if other records at Oldswinford eg settlement etc give any more clues.
