Arc tbc---Emanuel Johnson

Post by linell »

Have a query on Emanuel here:-

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... son-Family

I found a baptism in the RR Register:- 8.6.1817 Emanuel base born son of Martha Johnson Treacle Street.

There only seems to be the one Emanuel here unless one died :?:

1861 Dudley Wood
EMANUEL JOHNSON Head Married 41 yrs
CAROLINE JOHNSON Wife Married 41 yrs
SARAH JOHNSON Daughter Unmarried 21 yrs
EDWARD JOHNSON Son 13 yrs
CAROLINE JOHNSON Daughter 11 yrs
ENOCH JOHNSON Son 8 yrs
MARY A. JOHNSON Daughter 3 yrs

Not sure if we have the correct Parents for Emanuel on BCC :?:

Thanks NL, yes I think the one on BCC is wrong, think he could be the son of Martha Johnson, someone on Roots is querying the Aaron and Lucy connection, she descends from Emanuel and Catherine nee Hill, cheers from Linell.

Hi Lin I added the 1841 on Joseph Hill as Emanuel was with inlaws.
added 1851.

If you could add any more census and kids that would be great.

Do you know how the line goes?
Do you have any marriages for the kids?

I had a look for a Martha on the disc found one dying in 1817 aged 44 from decline at Oldbury
and a Bapt 1798 added them in notes only on Martha.
Couldnt see any other kids for Martha.

Also couldnt see death for that other Emmanuel wonder what happened to him :(

Hi Jan, I suppose the other Emanuel son of Aaron probably died as an Infant, they were often buried with a relative or even a neighbour! We know there is a very small chance of their burials being recorded.

Martha Johnson went on to Marry a James Shaw don't have the date to hand but it was 1823 Halesowen, one of the Witnesses was a Rosanna Cole who connects, the family are together on one of the Census's. Will add what I can tomorrow.

Many thanks for sorting out the two Emanuels, cheers from Lin.
