COMPLETED.....Two Faulkner brothers from Blackheath died WW1

Post by mumbles »

Two brothers sons of John & Caroline Faulkner are listed as died in WW1
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... onnections
However one son died in France and the other died at home ( possibly from wounds)
One is listed on Blackheath St. Pauls Roll of Honour but the other Bert is just listed as buried in St. Pauls Blackheath

Bert/Birtie married a Lizzie ( Elizabeth) Pearson and she may be on bcc already

Managed to tie down correct Elizabeth by reference to Census details which all tie up
It would appear that Elizabeth was daughter of Zachariah Pearson and Elizabeth Siviter .
Zachariah died aged 30 on 1897 and Elizabeth Siviter married William Howard as Elizabeth Pearson

Children of Zachariah and Elizabeth are shown as Step.children of William Howard on 1901 and 1911 and locations all tie up

I will post marriage for look up as it will confirm that Elizabeth who married Bert Faulkner was daughter of Zachariah Pearson

I will also post William Howard marriage to Elizabeth Pearson as it will identify which Howard line ( there are two William Howards born Gorsty Hill and two fathers named William Howard so may not be easy) and Siviter line for Elizabeth Siviter

I had an uncle Howard Faulkner who lived at Blackheath who was born c1900. He was gassed in WW1 but survived for a number of years, albeit with a bad chest. He came from a large family and think his parents were John & Caroline. Have a photo of a group of lads outside a Lyons coffee shop and believe they may be Faulkner brothers. Unfortunately his wife died before I was interested in family history and my cousin now has dementia!

Could send the pic if you let me know how to do it.

I will add that info from Silver Surfer as only one Howard Faulkner born c.1900 Staffs. and he died in 1957 Dudlley

That means Three brothers served in WW1 and one survived ( just about)
I will check other brothers to see if they also served.

My interest is that I am going through St.Pauls Blackheath Roll of Honour which helps to connect to families already on bcc
