James & Fanny Frances FMP look up please Arc TBC

Post by SRD »

Would someone be kind enough to look up the entry for the following couple in the 1891 census on FMP
Household FRANCES, Fanny 1863 28 F East Preston Sussex
Household FRANCES, James 1858 33 M East Preston Sussex
Source info including address, Enumeration District, page etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks very much. But that's not the right one, according to the census photo I've seen that's James Francis, not James Frances. Is there a different one with Fanny being born in Steyning?

Searched 1891 /1901/1911..no Fanny FRANCES b.Steyning.
(Steyning is only 14 miles from Fittleworth.)
Know it well, lived in Billingshurst.

14 miles is a long way for an Ag Lab who has no other transport than Shank's pony.

Mrs SRD was born in Billingshurst; her father evacuated the family there during the war.
