hi folks, remember me? I am in a library in Surrey, so just a quick visit.

I have Solomon Danks who had a first wife Eliza Mackay. She went to live with her brother David after 1 child Martha and a few years of marriage. He then 'shacked' up with Eliza Jones who, until recently I believed he never married. Their daughter Hagar took the name Jones Danks. In a newspaper found online by keying in his name I found that Eliza, the woman who had lived with for more than 40 yrs had stolen money from him, but still no mention of her being his wife.

This week I keyed his name into the new family search site and found his marriage to his first wife, and surprise surprise, a marriage to Eliza Jones at Coseley in 1851. Can anyone confirm this please? It says he was single :roll: Hagar was born 1854 so why the need for Jones Danks :?
