ARC TBC..................ASTON

Post by SOS53 »

Can anyone please help me on Elijah Aston as his birth is shown as ABT 1828 Netherton, but it is also shown as his christening at 25 December 1825 St Thomas, Dudley. Also Job and Esther are shown as twins on 1851 census but on the 1861/1871 census there is a 2 year difference. Thanks.

that does look like his bapt

but age on census and death is out

Deaths Jun 1907
ASTON Elijah 77 Dudley 6c 49

might be worth looking that up to see if it is an 8 or a 5 in actual register

might be 1828 but whoever transcribed it thought it was 1825
and to see occup of father and abode

Dudley archives would have that register

You would need to check with registry office as to which one is the correct one if you were ordering

1848
ASTON Esther Dudley (DUD) Dudley Register Office DUD/034/188

1851
ASTON Esther Stourbridge (STO) Dudley Register Office STO/021/165

1851
Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Reference
ASTON Job Dudley (DUD) Dudley Register Office DUD/041/230

I am going with the 1848 for esther will amend on Bcc

I have had a look on Ancestry.co.uk and there does seem a difference in ages on a couple of them. So I think they are just plain siblings. Thanks :-)
