"completed" Tryphena Palmer b.1874

Post by expat66 »

I think this lady married Thomas Bastable in 1898

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

Thomas Bastable Apr-May-Jun 1898 Stourbridge Worcestershire
Tryphena Palmer Apr-May-Jun 1898 Stourbridge Worcestershire

There is a Probate record for a Thomas Bastable in 1919
Thomas Bastable of 6 Rood End Rd, Oldbury died 11 Jul 1919 at the Infirmary West Bromwich. Administration London 5 Dec to Tryphena Bastable, widow. Effects 292 pounds

Is he the same Thomas Bastable, for whom there is a WWI military record?.... haven't had time to really study the military records in detail... address was given as 19 Lockside Tat Bank Rd, Oldbury.... occupation boatman... he appears to have been discharged from the army in 1919 with 'deafness'

Just on my way out the door.. so will come back to this later..
Ant thoughts?

1911..6 Rood End Road Oldbury
Thomas Bastable,38,bricklayer, born Blackheath,
Tryphina,37, married 12 years, shopkeeper boot trade, born Oldbury

I think this Thomas is a different one to the one I found the military record for ... he is probably a bit old and this one appears to be a bricklayer rather than a boatman.

I think the Thomas Bastable who was married to Tryphena may be this one on BCC...

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ble-Family

age fits, this family are bricklayers and they live in Rood End

The Thomas, whose military record I came across....has an address in Tat Bank and occupation boatman .... he must, I think, be a different one.... any ideas who he might be?

I'm sure there were some other Bastables we came across in Tat Bank ?

Ok I'm a bit stuck now!
