In addition I had a colleague Barry Kite, from Rowley, who died in 2000, I've often wondered since then if we were somehow connected without knowing it!
I've been looking again at the line that begins with (probably) George Kight and Hannah Naile, both born about 1791 and who may have married 15 June 1812 at Old Swinford. If we have the right George and Hannah / Ann (Hannah was often shortened to Anna or Ann), there was a daughter Jane b. abt. 1829, as well as Joseph b. abt. 1816 whose line is already on Black Country Connections.
Jane had a son Ephraim Kite, father unknown, and she later (I think?) married James Bray 1828-1906 in 1872, she died in 1883.
James's first wife Hannah Plant, in the John Plant / Mary Hunt line, had died in 1871, they'd had seven children.
Ephraim married a Margaret, had at least 8 children and died in 1919.
One of those children had a son Ernest b. 1904 Sedgley who is with Ephraim and Margaret on the 1911 census.
Ernest married Edith M Darby in 1933 and their son, my colleague Barry was born in 1938.
I'd be grateful for any help in reconstructing this line - and the customary apologies for errors and omissions in the above!
