You can't beat a John Wayne film The Searchers or She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, Sunday afternoons were made for watching them.

I thourght the films improved, each was better than the last. I've read the books, and thourght that as with many films they lacked the details of the books, but the last three or so were much better.

My best 'Feel Good' film is, As Good as it Gets. If I want a bit of a weep, Remains of the Day. I like the Harry Potter films but most recent films do nothing for me.

As Good as it Gets is a brilliant film - have it on video, but no video machine anymore - must get it on CD - haven't watched it in ages. Although have to say, I could watch anything with Jack Nicholson - Yummmmm

Re: Good Films
I recorded the last two Harry Potter films, but had to give up watching them as I couldn't see what was going on. They were so dark and I couldn't hear what they were saying either. Mmmm perhaps I need to clean my specs cleaned and get a hearing aid

Re: Good Films
Yes, they are a bit dark at times. Try wiping your TV screen with a damp cloth.
Off the topic but on the small screen. Did anyone watch Birdsong, on Sunday night and find that they couldn't understand half the dialogue, due to whispering and loud music? I don't normally have a problem with music but dear me, they seemed to have some class act mumblers in that series. Wasn't just me, they were complaining about it on Radio 2 on Monday morning, one chap had to put the subtitles on.
