Hi Sue
I think you need to let us know what you have already as there is no point in us going over stuff that you have already got
You have the birth of Clara
You have the birth of John Thomas Hodges
Then John I think was buried with Clara?
and I think to be honest you are going to have to send for that Birth certificate for John as it appears that Clara only had those 2 marriages you mentioned on rootsweb...
have you looked at the marriage for John Thomas to see if any father is down on the marriage cert?
Sometimes although not on the birth the mother relents and it goes on the marriage info

Hi Sue, I saw this on another site, wasn't Clara found with her unmarried mother and siblings? As NL said, you need to send for the birth certificate, but beware they did make up father's names if they didn't have one. Best Wishes from linell.

Re: John Thomas Hodges b abt 1902
Have started to enter this onto Black Country Connections for you Sue here...
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =821576667
I think that Clara is possibly the dau of Mary Hodges and so I have joined Clara to her with a note.
On the 1891 Clara is with her Grandmother Hannah and 2 daus a Mary and a Sarah
On the 1901 Clara is still with her Grandmother and Mary
so probably that is her mother....but to prove it you would need the birth certif for Mary.
We can now start to go further back on this family for you as it has been now started on the connections tree.
Not too sure which is the correct marriage for Hannah b 1821
as there is a Hannah Morgan
or
Hannah Hancocks to choose from in 1843
LDS have a submitted one in 1843 at Kidderminster...but that could be from anywhere!
