I have seen a lot of information about the Detheridge family from Dudley Up until about 15 years ago i knew nothing about them, until my father was contacted by the salvation army to say he was the cousin of a Gittins who had passed away
In clearing out the belongings he came across a family bible/tree that contained lots of information
Jospeh Detheridge married Susannah Nicklin as we know their children where Eliza born 24 May 1858 died 23 May 1862 Hannah b 9 4 1860 no further info Maria b 14 4 1863 in Constition Hill married John Charles Gittins b 31 8 1863 Edward b 13 4 1865 d 8 1 1873 Daniel b 16 8 1868
amongst the effects where a reference to a Harry Shaw which is after some investigation we know susannna married thomas Shaw
John Charles Gittins sister Sarh married a George Gamson b1862 this is where we come into it one of George sisters married my Great grandfather
I do have some dates of births and deaths etc mainly for the Gittins/Gmson families I hope this opens up a few brick walls for people regards rob
