Hi everyone, I would like some help please if at all possible with finding out about my grandfathers 4 siblings who were born but died between, 1883 and 1911.
I've just been given a copy of the 1911 census which now shows dead children and I see that it shows 4 children who had died. The parents were Benjamin Guest and Jane nee Smith, who were married 9th Sept 1883. The children that I know they had were my grandfather Joseph b.1888. Lavinia b.1896. Alice b. 1899. Bert b.1903 and Emily b.1906. They lived at, no 2 Garratts Lane, Old Hill. (the 1901 cens. showed them at 125 Garratts Lane) My grandfather Joseph had married by this time and had left the family home.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks jonboy.

Re: Another plea for help with dead siblings
There are over 1500 birth's in Staffordshire with the surname Guest between 1883 and 1911!
Can't see anything promising on Family Search
The public trees on Ancestry only have the same children as you have. (There is one tree that has Benjamin's parents as Joseph Guest and Lavinia Bate). Nothing coming up on Christenings on Ancestry either.

Re: Another plea for help with dead siblings
I have the same with my Grandfather's family, 2 dead children who are not on the Census and not in the Birth Register, probably died at birth and were never registered. Linell.

Re: Another plea for help with dead siblings
Did you mention you had a bible?
does it say anything in there?
or do you have any bapts for any of these kids?
might then be in the registers for that church
other than that you would need to contact regis office and say you only want the certifs
if parents are such and such and give them some dates

Re: Another plea for help with dead siblings
Don't think we can do any more with this Jonboy it would need some bapts ( knowing of course the church)
and/or birth certifs from regis office
So going to flag now to archive this
we can always bring it back if you get more info
