While trying to piece together the Griffiths family, I came across Elizabeth, born 1841 Belgium British Subject. This appears twice - in 1851 (Bilston) and 1861 (Tipton) for her. Has anyone come across a record like this before?
Her father was a blacksmith originally from Shropshire, Wrockwardine. First thought was might he have been attached to the army in some way - but Belgium?
Any thoughts on how to investigate this/lines to pursue greatly appreciated!

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?
