2 in the morning and still 30 degrees...

Post by MarkCDodd »

Air conditioner is having problems and at this time of the year it is impossible to get a techie to come have a look.

So it looks like another miserable nights sleep.

I use a APAP machine to keep me breathing during the night but its humidifier can't keep up with the ambient heat.

So I either get dry air entering the lungs or the tube "rains out" and its too moist.

I can opt not to use the machine...but then I might not wake up.

So I will put up with it as it is better to have a rotten nights sleep than a permanent one :P

if air is too dry in the room, try or a bucket of water in the room might evaporate in the room ?
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Not quite so hot last night up the mountain, Mark. It was 29 when I went to bed at midnight and the same when I got up at 8am. I guess it must have dropped a little below that at some time during the night. I did leave the AC on all night AND the ceiling fan over the bed, so had a great night's sleep (sorry :-) ).

I was glad we had left a big bowl of water on the verandah yesterday as the poor old birds (rosellas, king parrots and maggies) were calling in all day gasping. Cool change coming - although the BOM says it will still be a minimum of 21 overnight.

I'm heading to The Glen today to walk around in air-conditioned comfort (might just do a little bargain-hunting while I'm there  )

I jumped into my lovely air conditioned car and drove to my house in Philip Island where I will stay till they fix the air con back in Boronia.

Philip Island is usually so quiet but it looks like very holiday house is occupied and its like downtown Melbourne.

At least I can move about, unlike my poor cousins in Scotland who has three meters of snow to contend with.
