Good grief! I have not done any of that and quite a bit isn't even on my list

Still got presents to buy, ditto cards (and write), ditto mince pies and Christmas cake to bake. Hm, think I'll be running a bit late again this year

I've got a bit behind due to my Mum being ill, still got cakes to ice and a few pressies to wrap. Did the food shopping yesterday, but there's only Hubby and me on Christmas day this year, as my Mum will remain in hospital.

That is a pity. Is she close enough to visit easily? I do hope so.
We just have us and the three "children" as usual though the middle one may bring a girlfriend along for some part of the weekend - I offered at least since she has no family in this country.
My perennial hassle is combining Icelandic Christmas Eve (heavy meal) with English Christmas Day without getting as stuffed as any turkey! The fridge is always groaning with left overs too, which is actually the best bit in many ways.
At least I had a brainwave about the meal on the 24th. We always have smoked pork with caramel glazed potatoes and last year the youngest stopped eating meat and it was very hard to find something to go with sugary potatoes. But I think I have cracked it - a bit of hot-smoked salmon from the local shop (so no need to cook it). I actually might get enough for more us to try as well :-)

Almost
Been running round like a headless chicken.
Sadly a very dear friend passed away suddenly Saturday night  so made my mind more muddled than normal.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a good and healthy new year.

Yeah me too!! Nails done, hair highlighted, legs waxed, what else? Still shopping to do.Tonight after work and tomorrow night shops open till 10pm.
Mince pies have been baked.
My wife's are better than mine though. Her pastry melts in your mouth whereas mine's hard.Well i say hard i dropped one and it bounced in the air like a bullet. The insides are ok though.
Hard pastry? Not enough butter? Ask your wife you may say.No i'm not she thinks she's the only one who can make pastry.
