Whilst researching MrsSRD's family I've come across a male ancestor (in the 19th century) called William Wildboar can anyone do better than that?

Not on surnames, however I have a grandfather and a couple of great uncles with interesting first names.

Trescillian James Jones b.1899 (my Grandfather).
Gustavo Hancil Jones (g Uncle)
Orlando George Jones (g Uncle)
Archie Grattan Jones (g Uncle)

I have no idea what my g Grandmother was smoking, but I want some

I have a cousin Roddy Dodd. I always thought he should go into show business with a name like that.

"Its the Roddy Dodd show!!!"

I remember a poor kid at primary called Shaun Lam. I think his parents hated him!

One of our local butchers has a sign "Hung Long Butchers". We didn't know if the owner was called Hung Long or the meat was a bit dodgy or the butchers were boasting.

My wife's maiden name was Shorter, her parents were going to call their youngest Miles 'til it was pointed out that it might not be fair on the lad.
