I am looking for the birth of william whitaker.Probably born dewsbury wakefield area about 1835.He married ellen townend in 1857 at Crofton parish church.William was a police officer aged 22 and living in dewsbury at the time.His father George was a gamekeeper.I cant find him on any census either so I am a bit stuck.
