A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Re: X factor
Yes, it is a talent that should be encouraged and nurtured but sometimes, like Susan Boyle, they are not as good as other struggling artists.
A combination of hard luck story and above average talent propels them into stardom usually reserved for the best.
No matter what, a voice like that should be a meal ticket and rescue him from poverty.

Re: X factor
I'm watching the American one where Simon Cowell is a mentor and judge, the content on there of both the competitors and the music is fantastic, some really good acts, much better than the UK one.

Re: X factor
Just don't watch X Factor at all, although was impressed when my Husband said last night he would be interviewing Simon Cowell next week, I couldn't imagine why the (in his own eyes) great man would stoop so low as to speak to a little, local, radio station. Then I realised he'd said Simon Callow.
Far more interesting person in my opinion anyway.
Sung-bong Choi's story was very sad, I wonder what has happened to him since? It would be good to think his talent and appearance on the show gives him a musical career, financial stability and the chance to have a more 'normal' life.

Indeed Lulu - I can imaging Simon Callow having a much more interesting conversation than Simon (look at me) Cowell.

There's no place like home ......
