The Choir : Military Wives

Post by Lulu »

Sorry this is a bit late (busy girl  ) Did anyone watch this on Monday evening?

Two points. It was good to see the Wives of serving men in The Forces, actually brought to the fore and taken notice of. I spend a lot of my time supporting my Daughter in Law, while my son is at sea. Military Wives have a rough deal, so often left hundreds of miles from friends and family, bringing up children as a virtual single parent. There isn't enough support for them and the 'Wives Network' can be a bit cliquey.

It was really good to see those girls working together and the end result was really moving, so much so that both Hubby and I were crying.

The other point is, the song. It's a beautiful song and I love Adele's interpretation of it, you can hear it here CLICK HERE Now what really surprised the both of us is that Bob Dylan wrote it. I have not changed my opinion of the man, I still think his singing is a big pile of pants and am not open to discuss on that but fair play to the man, he did write a lovely song there.
Just because you're Paranoid, it doesn't mean to say they're not out to get you.
