I need a new scanner would I be better getting a 3 in 1 version , what are they like would appreciate some advice on these please.

We're on our second, the first was an inkjet, scanning was okay but the printing wasn't so good. We now have a laser printer - they cost more but print a lot better.
I'd definately get a 3 in 1, but check how much it costs to buy new ink cartridges as some cost more than the printer! Laser cartridges are a lot more expensive but also last a lot longer (especially if you shake them when they getting low!

Ours is a Samsung Colour Laser 3 in 1. You can also scan something onto a USB memory stick without having the computer on, although it choses a standard resolution, but if you want something quick it's okay.

I prefer a seperate scanner as I can lug it around with my Laptop and scan wherever needed.

Canon have alwysbeenmy preferred brand for scanners and HP for printers.

Thank you Mark that another choice for me, I am going looking for one tomorrow I like to look at what other people have and recommend, the one I have now is years old and a Epson separate from the printer but very large thing by the size today, my printer is working fine so maybe i'll just get a scanner , Appreciate your help.
