Indigogirl, thats my lot. Joseph Burley was my 3xgt gd father. Did you get the photos I sent?
Amelia Probert and John Henry Raycord are on my photo of the Round of Beef pub. Amelia was an orphan in 1881 census. Her mother died in 1873. After the death of her grandfather Joseph Burley in 1891 she was looked after by her aunt and uncle-Nancy and William Foley (my gt gd parents).

John Living at 180 Halesowen Rd in 1881Anchorsmith in 1901.
Was a staunch Methodist and ran a Sunday School at Graingers Lane for many years. See photo in the BCBugle article on 'Another milestone for Cradley Methodists'.(about 1997)
He was an anchorsmith at Noah Hingley's.

Was a part-time fireman at Cradley Heath. The fire engines were kept at the back of the old Winslow shop in the High St.

I've not received any photos yet?!

I was tipped off about the Raycord connection to Graingers Lane a while ago (by linell if I remember correctly).

I'm interested in the Methodist connection. My grandparents belonged to a religious order called the Peculiar People in Essex which was a Wesleyan offshoot.
I've often wondered where this came from and feel I'm getting closer to the source with the Smarts and Raycords.

The Raycords look to be related to all the big BC surnames!

Thanks for the information so far. I'll pm my email to you again

NLass,
I posted the links between these families as they aren't connected up on BCConnections but I don't know how to do it and tbh - I wouldn't dare!

Well someone seems to have connected most of it!

Come on Indigogirl....course you can connect em!....that is the whole idea....if you get stuck let me know and I will guide you thru!
So the next connection if you are unsure email me!

The only thing that seems to be missing is the Census detail that was found above
so IGirl if you fancy adding that to your ancestors relevant notes that would be good.
