ARC - Wrong mothers name!

I have the parish records for the area im investigating (Chatteris, Cambs)

I have identified all of my relatives and placed them in my tree and there is just 1 entry remaining which is baffling me!

GOWLER Mary 1804 Chatteris Bur - Mary infant dau of Dockrill & Sarah lab

Dockrill, not being a common name should be easy to find!

Dockerel Gowler, married Mary Hawkins (1759-1807) and Mary should be their child. In fact, there was a child of theirs called Mary b 1794. But then where has this Sarah come from?
And would 8 still be described as infant?

Mary Hawkins was still still alive in 1804 too?

Dockerel and Mary also had 2 children called Dockerel/Dockrill, but they both died as children

Dockerel Senior, also tried to get remarried to Elizabeth Hudson in 1809, but the Banns ws rejected.

Any help here please?

Hi. Are you working from a transcript of some sort? If so you could try and look at the original record on microfilm to rule out a transcription error.
Or, could it be a clerical error? Perhaps a baby called Sarah and the names were switched? Could you view the Bishop's Transcripts? Sometimes they are different (not always correct, but different )

Infant is under 12 months.
