Daughter just got her car licence...now the worry begins!

Post by MarkCDodd »

She got her licence this afternoon and is doing the rounds of her friends to show off the little Peugot we got for her.

Now I am the parent waiting to her car to pull safely up the driveway.

I hope this gets easier as my nerves are shot....

I was more worried about my son with his motorbike.

The kids worry about me if I go any distance in my car, abd I have to check in when I get there

The worst thing is the worry never really stops - my parents don't worry on a daily basis, but if I'm visiting, then it's almost like when I was a teenager! And I left home more than twenty years ago!!

I'm 30 years old and my parents have always treated me like I was 13. They still tell me how to do even the most basic things, it use to drive me crazy but now that I have a little one of my own ( very little -7 months) I can understand them a little more. It must be tough to switch from taking care of someone for 18 years to thinking of them as an adult. It'll be interesting to see if I take after my parents or not :)
