Jo,
The age sort of fits?
This is the marriage I found
26 Dec 1825...Bradford, St Peter (Bradford Cathedral), Yorkshire, England......Isaac WILKINSON ..weaver.. married Frances WHITE ( both of this parish) ..by banns... witnessed by John BARKER and Jonas TASKER ?.. both signed..the mark of.
Isaac Wilkinson was the ancestor we knew about and we could see that his wife was Frances from the census info.
1841 census
Field Head Cottages, Horton, Bradford, Yorkshire, England
Isaac WILKINSON(36) overlocker, Frances(30) weaver, Martha(10), Mary Ann(10), John(10)pieceman?, Joseph(5), Nancy(5), Jonas(4), White(2), William WILKINSON(20) weaver.. all born in County
1851 census
West End Buildings, Horton, Yorkshire, England
Isaac WILKINSON(46) power loom ?(worsted) b.Halifax,
wife Frances(42) b.Clayton,
kids all single..Mary Ann(22) pwer loom weaver(worsted) b.Thornton,
Joseph(19)spinning?(worsted), Ann(16)pwr loom weavr, Jonas(14)spinner, Elizabeth(6) & Alfred(4) b. Horton
Then I found this Christening record for a Frances White in Clayton
3 Mar 1811..Baptism
Clayton, Yorkshire, England ....White Frances, daughter of Jonathan White of Clayton, Innkeeper, and Hannah his Wife was born 17 Jan 1811 and baptized 03 Mar 1811
Haven't yet found any other Frances born in Clayton that would fit.
Isaac's eldest child (that we know of) is the Mary Ann on that 1851 census .. so she would have been born around 1829...
I did find a Christening record on familysearch for a Maryann Wilkinson christened 6 Mar 1837... born 22 Sep 1828 ... parents Isaac Wilkinson and Frances 9 so that could be her?)
Also on familysearch there is a Martha WILKINSON christened 25 Jul 1827.. born 26 Jun 1826 at Northowram, which still seems to be in the right area of Yorks.... & her parents are listed as Isaac Wilkinson & Frances.... so maybe there was at least one other child nearer that wedding date of 1825?
Or maybe there are 2 Isaac Wilkinson's and I'm getting muddled?
Don't know now...
