Skidmore, Josiah (1882 - 1926)
Josiah Skidmore, son of Benjamin and Maria Skidmore, was born in Holway, Taylor County, Wis., Sept., 13, 1882. Nearly all his life was spent on the old homestead where the parents have made their home for fifty years.
His sudden death, Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 1926, due to apoplectic seizure, came as a great shock to his relatives and friends.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his aged mother, who is in her 84th year, four sisters, Elizabeth and Mabel who are at home, Mrs. Ira Hawks of Withee and Mrs. Minnie Green of Curtiss, and two brothers, Benjamin and Edward of Langley, State of Washington.
A service was held at the home and at the Congregational Church at Curtiss, Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13th with Rev. W. P. Powell officiating. Interment was made at Pine Hill Cemetery.
