ARC TBC..............some more TAYLORs

Post by expat66 »

Still trying to get my TAYLORS in order

This family....
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... lor-Family

According to some notes my Dad gave me .... there should be 5 children.

There are these 3 on BCC....

-William b.1902 Langley ( don't know any more about him.... married? when died?.. would really love to get his birth certificate but there are so many William Taylors)

-David b.1905 Blackheath ( think he married a Florence Worwood in 1936 .. known as "Flossie" .. have posted for lookup. On the marriage cert. for Ruth "Annie" Taylor ( my Gran) in 1937 the witnesses are David Howard Taylor and Florence Taylor)

-Ruth ( or "Annie") b.1909 Whiteheath ( my Gran ... so OK with her info.)

these are on the 1911 census...
Oldbury Road, Blackheath, Birmingham
William TAYLOR(32) labourer born in Quinton,
wife Hannah (30) born Blackheath..married 10 years
, sons William(9)born Langley,
David(6) born Blackheath,
daughter Annie(1) born Whiteheath

The other 2 children would be .....
Edith Taylor born 1912... she married Edward Ford in 1933..( registry office wedding so assuming we can't look that up?...Stourbridge, Worcestershire TAYLOR Edith... FORD Edward... Stourbridge Register Office ....Dudley Register Office 001/053/203 )

and Charles Taylor.... really stuck on him...found a possible birth in 1922 Tamworth..mother Hewitt... but don't know if that is right? .. Tamworth looks to be a long way from the area this family lived in?
he is supposed to have married someone called 'Connie' and they had two daughters ....Judith and Sally
That is all I have and haven't had any joy pinning any of these down any further.

Can anyone shed any more light on these Taylors?
Thankyou again

Thanks peterd,
That looks more likely doesn't it
Had another look for this on 'Ancestry' and found they had transcribed mother's name as Newitt instead of Hewitt ( which explains why I couldn't find it!)

I wonder if she connects to any of the Plants or Billingtons on BCC?

the way i did it was to have three windows open in free bmd one for charles taylor marriages, c 1928 onwards one for judith births, one for sally births, checked staffordshire and worceshire and crossed reference mothers surnames then searched for a taylor plant marriage hope this helps
