ARC TBC..............children of Richard WHITE b.1804

Post by expat66 »

Was just looking at this Richard WHITE on BCC

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ite-Family

At the.....moment Eliza Jane ( born 1856) is listed as a daughter... but I have her in my tree as granddaughter to the Richard born in 1804.
I think she is the daughter of Richard White's son ...Richard White born 1835 ( the one married to Mary Coleman)
so this one....

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ite-Family

1856 Christening of Eliza Jane WHITE ..St. Martin's, Tipton
from http://www.familysearch.org ... Christening of Eliza Jane WHITE.. daughter of Richard WHITE & Mary Jane

1861 census..
Tipton, Staffordshire, England
Richard WHITE(26) labourer,
wife Jane (25),
kids Eliza Jane (5), William(3), George(2) all born Tipton

1871 census...
2 Old Cross St, Tipton, Staffordshire, England
Richard WHITE(37) labourer at iron works,
wife Jane (35) dressmaker,
kids Eliza(14), William(13), George(12), Sarah(9), James(7), Noah(6), Alfred(5), Alice(4mths) all born Tipton

Expat :-)

Also.. looking at Richard's son Thomas WHITE (born 1833) married to Jane TIMMINS.

Had another look at the 1861 census on there

1861 : Park Lane, Tipton, Staffordshire
Thomas White, Head, 29, Miner
Jane White, Wife, 26
Phoebe Turner, Sister, 49
All Born in Tipton, Staffs

Is it possible that Phoebe Turner belongs to the next household on the street? ( she is on the next page?)
or should she be Phoebe Timmins rather than Turner?

Just wondering...

That part about Pheobe.
It doesnt matter if more family are on another page, just they couldnt fit them all on the page they were doing.
It looks like she is Turner though, at the end you can see it says deaf and dumb.
There is a Pheobe Turner living with her Mother Lucy in 1851 and she is deaf and dumb too. An Edward Whitehouse married to Mary Ann next door again aswell.

Looking at the schedule numbers though it looks like Thomas White is 200 and Edward Whitehouse the next entry under Pheobe is 217 so I wonder if there are some missing or mixed up on Ancestry?

Can anyone look on another? My Origins just keeps closing down Explorer!

It looks like Eliza has been added to the wrong Richard and a couple of children missing.
I will do that now.

Looking at the condition of the pages, I think you are probably right and there is at least one page missing between Thomas' family at the bottom of one and Phoebe Turner at the top of the next. I don't think Phoebe belongs with the Whites at all.
I'll put a note on BCC.
