An excellent Read

Post by Antie Em »

Just finished reading (well listening to) A Woman Scorned by Wendy Robertson. Based on the lift of Mary Ann Cotton - here on Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Ann_Cotton, who was convicted of killing her husband and children and was hanged in 1873.

She appears on the 1871 Census with her husband, step children and her own child Robert here : http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/ss ... 52&recoff=

The book looks at the possibility of Mary's innocence and is well worth reading.

Watched Doc Martin last night and he had a lady suffering from arsenic poisoning - it was in the flock wallpaper, which has now been banned.
